In a completely wild Mediterranean landscape, dramatically nestled on top of 100 meter high mesmerising cliffs, Isola Rossa is a pretty white cottage with a stunning view over the Mediterranean and Monte Argentario's coastline.
Crisp white walls, whitewashed beams and terracotta floors set the tone for the single storey building, furnished with comfortable contemporary furniture and locally crafted pieces.
Full description
A wild and romantic refuge, Isola Rossa, a whitewash pearl of a house can be found proudly perched on the rugged cliffs of Argentario, with sweeping panoramic views over the islands of Giglio and Giannutri. A charming dusty, blush pink cottage ensconced in undoubtedly the most striking stretch of Tuscan coastline, with crystal clear azure waters as far as the eye can see.
Not only a truly idyllic and scenic setting yet one which is entirely unique; offering visitors a chance to completely disconnect and relax amongst the elements. The Villa is enveloped by a beautifully kept Mediterranean garden, punctuated with Olive trees and hedges of rosemary, creating a serene oasis surrounding the property. Just beyond the gardens, with the careful architectural eye of the owner, is a stunning swimming pool, carefully carved into the cliff edge with an encompassing wooden decking area, almost creating an infinity pool effect.
The cottage’s interiors are elegant yet refreshingly understated with whitewashed beams and terracotta tiles; the villa is perfectly in keeping with its setting, not to mention extremely cosy. The property boasts its own direct access to the sea, with a short trekking trail cutting through the cliffs that pave the way down to a beautiful cove and semi private pebble beach below. Indeed, not for the faint hearted, the somewhat steep sea access is certainly for the sporty and dynamic, who don’t shy away from an energizing dose of daily exercise.
Isola Rossa is the perfect choice for those who are active and seeking that hedonistic lifestyle. A place where you can appreciate the unique wild beauty of the un spoilt coastline, without indeed having to travel very far by car to get to your local amenities and the small Port, Porto Santo Stefano, home to many fantastic restaurants and beautiful shops. The access to the property is not initially easy to find, yet is located a short 5 miles outside of Porto Santo Stefano in the winding hills that lead you out of the port. A final steep and rugged track then leads you to the property.
Isola Rossa is entirely unique in both position and what it has to offer, a real hideaway, that can be enjoyed throughout the seasons, with the rest of Tuscany waiting on your doorstep.
