Not far from Capalbio, at Garavicchio, is the Giardino dei Tarocchi offering a marvellous and unique spectacle. It is an absolutely original and exclusive work composed of the representation of the 22 major “Arcani” of the tarot cards.

The sculptures, built in cement and polyester, are covered in splendid ceramic mosaics (made locally), glass and mirrors.

The Giardino dei Tarocchi is a creation of Niki de Saint Phalle, considered to be one of the greatest contemporary French artists. Her works are to be found in all the world’s most important modern art galleries. Her statues adorn squares and landmarks in important cities such as Paris, Stockholm and Jerusalem.
